Blessed Are...The Peace Makers

A Sermon by John M. Miller: Out of 33 short years in a life cut short by a cruel crucifixion, Palm Sunday was the only day when Jesus may have been collectively recognized as the Messiah by a fairly large crowd of his followers. It is impossible correctly to guess the number of people who saw Jesus ride into Jerusalem on that long-ago day. There may have been only a few dozen, or perhaps there were several hundred or more. No one can ever know.

Blessed Are ... The Merciful and the Pure In Heart

A Sermon by John M. Miller: I started this sermon series on the Beatitudes on the first Sunday in Lent, and it shall end on Easter Sunday. However, there are seven Sundays in Lent, including Easter, but there are eight Beatitudes. In order to keep these sermons all within Lent, I am going to do two Beatitudes today, rather than just one. This technicality probably doesn’t matter to you at all, but it violates my self-imposed sense of how this should all work out. Therefore, here goes….
